The Church of Life is a GLBT, poly and kink friendly all faiths church in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Life has become full of stories of church related problems and abuses. I tend to think the problem is we grew to expect too much from church or perhaps church just offered too little.

To me Church is a venue by which the community gets together and supports one another. In addition to this there are services available for personal spiritual development and guidance. In many cases Churches simply become venues to preach rather than the parts of community life that they ought to be.

So the reason we have a church is because it is time we got back to the foundation of the spiritual community, that we got back, to the church of life.

The Taosphere Church of Life is an interfaith ministry, meaning we offer services to all religions. This is in part because the members of Taosphere do not share a common religion. It is also to recognize that Taosphere does not see any one religion as being the one true faith.

The individual members of Taosphere hold sacred that which they choose to within their spiritual and/or religious beliefs. Taosphere as a group does not hold sacred the dogma of religion but rather holds sacred the conscience of religion. All religions share common or foundational beliefs and it is our assertion that should there be an underlying knowable spiritual truth it would be contained within the elements that are shared by all people’s not that which is discovered by only a small isolated group of individuals.
